to
4:00 pm
Minneapolis, MN
This is the in-person component of Remedy Alliance's drug checking training. Attendees of this training must also complete a required practicum following the in-person intensive.

FTIR training is the last piece to implementing a drug checking program. Please ensure you have all of the below requirements in place, and that you have completed the Pre-Implementation Work Checklist. Technicians should be able to start collecting and testing samples immediately following the training.

Who is this training for?

-New drug checking programs who have completed all of their pre-implementation work

-New technicians at currently existing programs who want or need more formalized training and oversight before apprenticing at their own programs

-Any technician who is trying to figure out how to use an FTIR spectrometer on their own

-Any technician who needs a training booster

Are there any requirements for the training?

Yes! Programs must...

-Have a contract with a secondary verification lab prior to the training (UNC, CFSRE, Drugs Data, Notre Dame, NIST, etc.)

-Have an FTIR spectrometer in their possession prior to the training

-Be able to bring their FTIR to the training (if flying, this requires either checking the FTIR or purchasing a smaller carry-on sized case). If you have a MOBILE IR, please reach out for more information.

-Demonstrate their ability to collect drug samples prior to the training

-Complete required intro-level homework and readings prior to the training

-Managers and supervisors must attend the 'Setting Drug Checking Programs Up for Success' online orientation prior to the training.
